לסיכום, אפשר אפוא לומר כי קבלת
החלטות אינה סיום תהליך, אלא
תחילתו של מסע. היא דורשת ויתור על
פנטזיית “הטוב המושלם”, כדי לממש
את הנתיב שנבחר. תוצאות ההחלטה
נובעות לא רק משיקול דעת מקדים,
אלא גם ואולי אף יותר, מתהליך עיבוד
האבל הנדרש לאחריה. אפשר אם כן
לראות בקבלת החלטות לא רק סוגיה
נקודתית על ציר הזמן, אלא אתגר
והזדמנות להתפתחות.
